Opening Times

St Mary le Strand is open to visitors every Monday to Saturday between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, and on Sundays between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Music in the Strand recitals take place regularly on Wednesdays at 1:05 pm (except during Lent). For more information click here.

Regular Services

The Church family at St Mary le Strand meet both on Sundays and on weekdays.  Whether you live or work in the area or are a visitor to London, you are very welcome to join us. Our service times are as follows:

Sung Eucharist                      Sunday at 11:00 am

Said Holy Communion           Tuesday at 1:05 pm

Sung Eucharist                     Thursday at 1:05 pm

Please contact the Rector if you would like to know more about getting confirmed, or are interested in exploring Christianity more generally. Catechumenate classes for those preparing for confirmation are held regularly. The Rector can also be contacted for weddings, funerals, baptisms, sick communion and counselling.

Friday 2 November 1.05pm Choral Requiem for the Commemoration of All Souls

Sunday 4 November 11am Sung Eucharist for the Fourth Sunday before Advent, with the theme John and Charles Wesley, Fr John Farrant will preach on the importance of the Wesleys for our hymnography and Theology, and there will five of Wesley's best known hymns to sing.

Sunday 11 November 10.55am (NB) so we can begin our Remembrance Sunday Eucharist in time to keep the 2 minute silence together.

The Parish Carol Service is on Wednesday 12 December at 6pm.

Fr James Francis's ordination to the Priesthood is on Friday 21 December at 6pm. It will be taken by the Bishop to the Forces, the Rt Revd David Connor, Dean of Windsor and the preacher will be the Chaplain of the Fleet and Archdeacon of the Navy, Fr John Green.

On Sunday 23 December at 11am we shall keep Advent 4, and the preacher will be Jeremy Goldsmith.

Our Christmas Eve Eucharist is at 1.05pm on Monday 24 December and it will be Fr James's first mass.
